§ 4-33. Annual license fee.

(a)

There shall be collected under this article an initial and annual renewal fee for sexually oriented business licenses and sexually oriented employee licenses as follows:

(1)

Sexually oriented business license: Initial: two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00); annual renewal: one hundred dollars ($100.00).

(2)

Sexually oriented employee license: Initial: fifty dollars ($50.00); annual renewal: twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

(b)

The annual license fees are declared regulatory in nature, collected for the purpose of examination and inspection of the qualifications of the sexually oriented businesses and employees which are regulated under this article. This annual license fee is hereby declared to be revenue neutral in that the city will incur a greater annual cost to license and monitor sexually oriented businesses and employee compliance with this article. These regulatory fees are in addition to, and not in lieu of, the business taxes which may be imposed by the Flagler Beach City Code or law and other land development or regulatory fees associated with general commercial activities and locations.
