§ 6.02.02. Installation, architectural and aesthetic regulations applicable to the city.
(a)
All structures shall at a minimum be designed and constructed in accordance with section 1606 of the 1994 edition of the Standard Building Code, as published by the Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc.
(b)
All conventional and manufactured dwellings within the City of Flagler Beach shall be erected with continuous perimeter stem wall foundations or monolithic foundation floor slab systems that meet all criteria of the Standard Building Code as adopted by Flagler Beach. Exterior walls of dwellings shall bear directly on the foundation. Isolated elevated pier foundations are not permitted. Interior load bearing foundations and/or walls shall be continuous.
(c)
All dwellings within the City of Flagler Beach shall have the electrical service entrance located on the dwelling.
(d)
The exterior face of all foundation of stem wall and/or monolithic design within the City of Flagler Beach shall be architecturally finished. Examples of acceptable finishes are Portland cement stucco, brick, stone, siding materials or other durable material approved by the building department.
(e)
If the exterior face, the distance between the adjacent exterior grade and the finished floor, of any exposed foundation exceeds eighteen (18) inches in the vertical direction, landscape screening is required for foundations fronting public streets.
