§ 6.02.01. Definitions.

  • The following definitions shall apply to this article:

    Conventional dwelling: A dwelling unit constructed on the site where it is to be occupied and constructed to the Standard Building Code promulgated by the Southern Building Code Congress and as adopted by the City Commission of the City of Flagler Beach, Florida.

    Manufactured dwelling: A dwelling unit fabricated in a manufacturing facility and bearing a seal certifying that it is constructed to standards as adopted under the authority of F.S. Ch. 553 and the rules adopted by the Florida Department of Community Affairs. The manufactured dwelling shall be governed by the same requirements and regulations imposed on site built conventional dwellings including but not limited to: local land use and zoning requirements, fire zones, property line requirements, subdivision control, on-site installation, site preparation, clearing, grading, swales, driveways, footings/foundations, electric service installation, mechanical installation, water and sewer line installation, building setbacks, building height, minimum square footage of living area, tree protection requirements and other architectural/aesthetic requirements identified in this article.
